My name is Laine and I started One Woman's Voice several months ago with two purposes in mind. To tell a story, my own story, and to help other women like me.

This website isn't just about me however. It's also about YOU. It was built with every victim and survivor of domestic violence in mind, as was the forum. I want all abused women to find this website useful, and to find the knowledge that you aren't alone to be comforting. Domestic violence does not limit itself to age, sex, race, nationality, creed, religion, or socal status. It affects everyone.

Recently, I decided to redesign the site. We were getting visitors from all over the world and I felt compelled to put information here to help those visitors while trying to make the place easier to navigate.

While I don't have every country listed, the list will grow as I find more information. If any of you would like to pass any information along that you find in your travels around the net, please feel free to contact me using the contact form found at the bottom of any page.

If you just want someone to talk to who understands what you are going through, then please don't hesistate to contact me, or join our forum. Everyone is welcome to join, male and female.
